DISNEY CHANNEL ANNOUNCES Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja!

So yea, to add to the list of growing animated series that Disney are just SLAMMING with, TVGuide.com has the exclusive that the network has just announced Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja set to premier August 13th, @ 9pm EST/8 C on Disney XD. According to the article, Randy Cunningham will star Ben Schwartz(Parks and Recs), and the series will follow a high school freshman who discovers a centuries-old ninja book called the “Ninjanomicon”.

Randy and his best friend Howard(played by Hannah Montana’s Andrew Caldwell) have to go attend high school all the meanwhile trying to thwart evil forces. The show also stars Kevin Michael Richardson (The Penguins of Madagascar) as Willem Viceroy III; John DiMaggio (Futurama) as Hannibal McFist; and Dave Wittenberg as Bash Johnson, Community‘s Jim Rash as Principal Slimovitz; Tim Curry (The Rocky Horror Picture Show) as The Sorcerer; Megan Mullally (Will & Grace) as Mrs. Driscoll; and John Oliver (The Daily Show) as Coach Green.

Scooby Doo’s Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas created and executive produce the show which as mentioned is set to debut its first episode Monday August 13th @ 9pm EST.
