REVIEW: METALOCALYPSE “BREAKUP KLOK”
Dethklok breaks up and is about to give their final performance. As they prepare for the show, each member of the band are deciding their post-band careers. Meanwhile, Selatcia takes this time to make his attack.
Spoilers Below
So, what does Dethklok do after an Earth-shattering breakup? Welp, Murderface runs for Congress with Toki as his intern, Pickles starts a winery, and Nathan & Skwisgarr decide to pursue a new musical endeavor. As expected, Pickles has no clue how to run a winery due to his impatience and the tryouts for Nathan and Skwis’ new project aren’t going so smooth. The one guy who is actually making a serious run at his own deal is Murderface as it looks like he has a decent plan in mind for his campaign. Unfortunately, Toki gets a hold of Murder’s personal pics and does a big ol’ email blast and everyone gets a hold of Murder taking pics of himself jerking off. Now, in any other state this might be OK(*cough Anthony Weiner *cough), but for the great state of NJ, this doesn’t slide…
As a result, the band begins to contemplate their future before their final gig in Iceland. Nathan gets on stage and gets ready to rip, but Mr. Salacia shows up to crash the party in a failed attempt to kill Dethklok! Thankfully, Dethklok has national security that would make Russia jealous and is able to escape for any real harm occurs, setting us up for one crazy fuck of a season finale.
Other than the fact that this maybe should have been advertised as the first part of a two part season finale, BUT other than that you couldn’t ask for a more edge-of-your seat experience. Seriously, the storytelling in Metalocalypse is the best in the industry as is the direction and as a result this crew needs to take a bow because they have out done themselves this season. You would think that with all of Brendan’s other projects like Galaktikon and touring with Dethklok he could literally just hire staff to write some garbage and plastered his name on it, and it would’ve got ratings…but instead we get this. Let’s put it this way, if there was some sort of a Congress like mixing of the best in cartoonists with the likes of Matt Groening, Mike Judge, Seth MacFarlane, Adam Reed, and certainly the South Park creators representing their networks/shows…I would say Brendon Small officially becomes the representative for Adult Swim because although Master Shake is certainly the mascot for the still young network, Metalocalypse is its heart and soul…and we aren’t even at the end yet!

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
