REVIEW: FISH HOOKS “LITTLE FISH SUNSHINE”
Bea and the girls enter a pageant to meet a pop star.
Spoilers Below
Pop sensation Brandon Bubbler is in town and he is judging a beauty pageant where the winner gets to meet him. Bea decides to get in but she asks help from someone who has experience in these matters…Milo! That’s right, turns out Milo was the cutest baby at one point or another and as such is best equipped to give Bea the inside edge on the competition. Unfortunately, Bea doesn’t live up to expectations in the first few rounds as she worries more about how much makeup she has on more than anything else, as such she has just ONE more chance…the talent competition!
As part of her act, Milo convinces Bea to just be cute and the judges will be all over her. To help her get over with the crowd she brings along a kitty cat, a rabbit, and a baby chicken all of whom are very cute but can’t swim with fish bowls over their heads. As expected, the animals go crazy and tear up the auditorium and nearly killing Brandon had it not been for Bea’s quick thinking and monster mashing abilities.
Fish Hooks was totally off the hook(see what I did there?) and despite the new arrival of Gravity Falls is probably still the best show on Disney. Even with a setup to the plot as over done as “girl of show wants to meet a big star” mixed with “girl of show enters a fashion competition”, Fish Hooks is able to pull it off best because the characters really shine. Milo was very funny, but the real shiner was when the cute animals broke loose. Oh man, that had me going, and the art direction was SO good over the course of the episode with not just the crazy animals but with Bea going crazy and whatnot. Good stuff!
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
