ZAP2IT TALKS WITH MATT GROENING ABOUT ‘FUTURAMA’

Zap2it.com had a chance to talk to Futurama and The Simpsons executive producer Matt Groening about the upcoming season of Futurama which is set to start June 20, 2012 on Comedy Central. In the interview Matt mentions that politics, creepiness, and celebrity are just some of the themes we will see with the upcoming season.

In the ‘Saturday Morning Fun Pit’ — I know it’s going to be big for fans — we have George Takei playing himself, and also Larry Bird playing himself. The Robot Devil is also returning, played by Dan Castellaneta.”

Yep, Larry Bird. We actually mentioned a while back that he was going to be in an upcoming episode but it was so early we weren’t quite sure when or which episode.
