Spoilers Below
After being a victim of pretty much being punk’d on a show called “Fake Date”, Dan decides to declare war on reality TV! Of course, Chris friggin loves reality TV, but he goes with Dan to stop reality TV exec producer, Buddy Star. After finding and beating the shit out of Buddy, the exec producer tricks Dan into stopping in exchange for hearing out some of the crazy guys TV show pitches. Luckily, Dan’s gotta drawer full of material and he goes back home to get it, only to return and be subjected to yet another reality show. And in this show, Dan gets locked down in a house with a bunch of other contestants in a battle to win over the heart of a ‘bachelorette’. After engaging in a failed escape route thwarted by Buddy himself, Dan decides to try his best to throw the competition so that he can get booted out.
Weirdly enough, while trying to put together his final escape, Dan is convince to try and win the competition for an astronaut sleep away camp. Buddy doesn’t want Dan to win the prize, so he puts him in an obstacle course against the other finalist in which Dan wins and as a result he gets the show cancelled…no thanks to Chris and Elise who just sat on the couch watching the whole game from start to finish. Oh yea, and that sleep away camp? It was yet another reality show.
Good concept…yes. I hate reality TV just as much as the next person(except Ax Men, Storage Wars, Pawn Stars, and anything with Gordon Ramsey in it) but I think this plot device in general has been played out. I didn’t see a lot of variety it just seemed like one old gag after the other being no different than episodes having already been done by Family Guy, South Park, and countless others. Let’s hope next week we can get a bit more as I know the writers are capable of better. If not, they may want to try reality TV.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
