Gene gets a new Sasquatch mask and Bob gets a new cooking segment on a local TV show…a match made in heaven? Hardly…well maybe to Chuck and Pam the stars of “Get on Up With Chuck & Pam”. The original idea for the cooking segment was for Bob to come in and show off random new recipes for cheeseburgers, but then Gene shows up wearing a Sasquatch mask which pisses off Bob but grabs the attention of the producers and most importantly the viewing audience. This of course causes a rift in the Belcher household, one of which spills on over into the behind the scenes when both Bob and Gene enlist Louise to sabotage the other one’s bit!

Enter in Linda, who feels she has sat on the sidelines long enough and she sees to put a stop to the TV segment all together as she feels the fame is getting to the heads of her family. However, the producers aren’t going to allow its hottest segment to just fall by the wayside and as a result the station’s security throws her ass into the street. Meanwhile, Bob and Gene are on TV and the tension boils over to the point where an all out brawl breaks out with the cameras still rolling! Having seen enough, Linda breaks in and on to the set and flashes her titties to the audience in an attempt to get the cooking segment fined with multiple FCC violations Eventually, the rest of the family’s fighting subsides and things go back to normal.

Throughout the episode we had Tina being introduced to a boy at the studio named Nathan and they quickly become a couple. As it turns out, Nathan only likes Tina because she has full on access to Pam and Nathan has weird sexual fantasies about Pam. Eventually, Tina and Nathan break up but Nathan still wants Pam in the worst way, so much so that he even dresses up as Tina to break into the studio. This causes another brawl this time between Nathan and Tina which gets both of them thrown out of the studio.

Overall, I was somewhat disappointed in the Bobs Burgers season finale as I felt that Gene and Bob seemed out of character. Typically, everyone sticks up for each other on Bobs Burgers and its usually what gives this show its charm as usually its the Belchers versus the world but this time it was more every man for himself. I will say the whole “Bippity-boppoty” one liners coming out of her during her crowd flashing was hysterical as most of it was jibber/jabber but well-timed and very funny. I also really liked the Nathan vs Tina subplot as you would think Tina would’ve finally found her soul mate with this one as Nate was pretty much like Tina albeit a bit more over the top. Kudos goes out to Samantha Bee and Thomas Lennon who were most hysterical hosts of “Get on Up With Chuck & Pam” and I thought they mixed it up rather well with Bob and Linda both on and off the air. So far Season 2 of Bob’s Burgers has been pretty solid and am definitely amped to see the Second half starting in September 2012.
