NEW DETAILS SURFACE ABOUT MAGGIE SIMPSON’S “LONGEST DAYCARE”
Entertainment Weekly recently had a chance to talk to James Brooks and Al Jean about the new Maggie Simpson 3D short Longest Daycare set to premier in front of Ice Age: Continental Drift which will be hitting theaters July 13, 2012. In the article Al Jean lets a little slip about the plot of the four minute short:
The Longest Daycare — which was directed by David Silverman, who helmed The Simpsons Movie – revolves around Baby Maggie, who returns to the Ayn Rand School for Tots, where her lone friend is a butterfly. “They put each baby through an airport security-style testing machine to measure their future and hers says ‘Nothing Special’, so they put her in an area that’s not great,” Jean says. “If they put her in a good area, it wouldn’t be much of a plot.” He adds: “For a four-minute plot, it has a number of twists and turns… It’s very sweet but funny. ”
I thought that I was going to have to avoid going to the movies on July 13th because of the recent move of Ted but now it looks like I’ll be there for Ice Age:Continental Drift.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
