DIGITAL SPY INTERVIEWS ‘FAMILY GUYS’ ALEX BORSTEIN…HINTS AT NEXT SETH MACFARLANE FILM
THE BRITISH ARE COMING!!! THE BRITISH ARE COMING!!!! Got your attention? Good, because recently British rag Digital Spy had the opportunity to talk to Alex Borstein about what to expect for Family Guy and its upcoming 11th season. In it, Alex later talks about a couple of projects she is currently working on like the rumored animated series and now a potential new film with fellow Family Guy writer Cherry Chevapravatdumrong. Check out this excerpt from the article:
You’re also working with Seth on a new animated series.
“Yeah! We’ve been developing this female character [oriented] animated show. I don’t know when or where it’ll arrive, but that is still on the books. And I’m also writing and producing a show in the US which started life as a British show, called Shameless.“So yeah, there’s a lot of development and a lot of things that we’re trying to get off the ground. I’m also working on a feature with another Family Guy writer called Cherry – you’ve probably seen her name in the credits, it’s pronounced Cherry Chevapravatdumrong!
“We’re writing a feature film – again, it centres on a female and it may have to do with getting knocked up – and it would be great if we could keep it within the MacFarlane family. Seth is now doing a movie called Ted and hopefully when that’s released, it’ll be a really huge hit and we’ll be able to follow on from that. Like a Judd Apatow-type thing.”
Good to see how close knit the Family Guy writing staff is and that people are working on projects with each other. Alex Borstein is crazy funny and she’s always been a great writer ever since her days at MADtv where she put together memorable characters and sketches that to this day I go on Youtube and laugh my ass off at. I wonder if Seth MacFarlane can match the likes of Judd Apatow with the number of films produced…in any case it should be a lot of fun!
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
