A user on one of the forums has wondered out loud if Ron Swanson from Parks and Recs is somehow the inspiration of former The Simpsons writer John Swartzwelder. Their link? Greg Daniels…You see Greg(who is the exec producer for the NBC hit show Parks and Recs) was a long time Simpsons writer with John so is it possible that John is the basis for the character that made Nick Offerman a household name?
