Junior is somehow able to make bets based off of which college basketball team has the best mascot which makes him Freight Train’s new best friend. Of course, this gets Cleveland jealous as he’s been trying for years to accept his father’s plight only to fail. All the things Cleveland always wanted to do, Junior gets…things like going to the park, Freight’s office, and hitting up the links at the local golf course. Why is Freight Train so mean to his son? Turns out they were both on a game show years ago and they were seconds away from winning a trip to Orlando when Cleveland screws up the last course and ruins it for everyone. As luck would have it there’s a big golf tournament coming up, and Freight Train teams up with Junior and Cleveland teams up with Cannonball Williams to prove to his dad once and for all that he is a more than capable son. However, Cleveland throws the game because the only thing being worse than being a jerk son is being a shitty dad.

Rallo makes a shit load of money from his mom to the point of buying a brand-new Ford Mustang. Problem is Rallo has never driven a car before, pumped gas, or asked for directions thereby leading him to the golf course where his dad and brother are playing and soon totaling his car.

The plot for this week’s episode of Cleveland Show is probably one of the oldest in the book, as the whole “son wants to prove his worth to his father” routine has been done a million times, but overall there were a lot of funny spots. Junior acting as Robin Williams’ Mork from Mork & Mindy was great but the best was Cleveland yelling “Over my dead body” as his head is in a vice ala Alice Cooper. Even the B-plot with Rallo was pretty good as he gets to drive around in my dream car, until he fulfills another one of my dreams which is to interrupt a shitty golf game.
