REVIEW: THE CLEVELAND SHOW “DAS SHRIMP BOOT”
Cleveland’s reliance on energy supplements to work overtime in order to earn vacation time for a cruise with his family backfires when he becomes addicted and lands in rehab. He escapes, but that backfires, too.
Spoilers Below
Cleveland has no more vacation time left as he’s taken about 130 days off and can’t afford the time to take his family on a trip. To help fix this he decides to start working a lot of overtime but the lack of sleep starts to take its toll on his health so he takes up an addiction to energy pills. Eventually Cleveland’s addiction gets so bad he has to resort to breaking in to the local convenience store to get more. Soon enough, his family and friends hold an intervention which of course brings us to the local rehab while the rest of the family goes on a trip. Feeling left behind, Cleveland breaks out of rehab and tries a daring raid on the cruise ship of which his family absconds, but instead he crashes his jet ski and lands at the bottom of the ocean.
Thankfully, Cleveland gets saved by a bunch of Somolian pirates on a Mad Men fix that have plans to over take the same cruise shape that Cleveland’s family is on in an attempt to kill everyone and steal their valuables. Luckily, Cleveland is able to esscape from his Somali captors and warn everyone on the ship of their impending doom. It looks as though Cleveland’s life is in jeopardy until he takes his pills and saves everyone on board.
This was advertised as a parody of The Matrix, and I Am Legend but neither movies got any kind of mention so I don’t know who fucked that one up as this week’s episode had more in common with maybe Speed 2. The one thing I did NOT expect was a guest spot from HANK HILL, with Mike Judge even lending his voice. Kick ass, right? That alone will make me give this week’s episode a thumbs up, as it was riding the meh train pretty much the entire time in the laughs category.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
