Stan thinks its time for his daughter and Jeff to move out of the house despite the fact that Jeff makes under a $1000 a month. Stan thinks a $1000 a month is easily a livable wage and decides to bet Hayley and her husband that if Stan can show them how to live cheap for 30 days they have to move. After taking the bus to the worst part of town, they find a terribly lit apartment that is rife with gun battle and thievery. Having had enough, Stan buys rice, potatoes, and a Pontiac Aztek which he deems a “tent on wheels”. Unfortunately, while Stan is taking a shower under the water fountain, their new car gets towed. Welp, that’s pretty much the last straw for Francine and really wants to go home, and eventually does leaving Stan by himself. It actually gets pretty bad for Stan, as he is actually resorting to stealing shoes and then trying to hawk them for cash. While doing so, Stan gets run over by a couple of assholes in their new Ferrari. He can’t afford medical care, so Stan tries a free clinic where outside he meets a homeless guy that actually helps him to break into his own house to steal some stuff. But, who woulda thought, Jeff is awake, and he ends up killing the homeless guy and almost killing Stan. Its here Stan pretty much has a nervous breakdown confessing that he was wrong and Hayley and Jeff can stay as long as he wants.

Meanwhile, Klaus has driven a real Ferrari which gets Roger all jealous because he never has. So him and Steve dress up and go to the local dealership to get one so they can show off in front of their underwater friend. Instead  they end up running over some homeless guy, but don’t bother to stop to try and help.

Leave it to American Dad to save what was a pretty depressing Animation Domination weekend. I mean, both Cleveland and Bob’s Burgers were a let down and Simpsons and Family Guy were on repeats! I thought the B-plot with Steve and Roger was going to be lame, but boy when Roger slows down to shoot a look at Klaus on a drive by, I was rollin’ with laughter. The A-plot had all sorts of gross moments that made me think this could’ve been some sort of Halloween episode! What with Stan getting run over, nearly dead, stumbling into a free clinic where he gets a bunch of medical supplies to fix himself up. Oh man and the CAT giving birth to kittens right on his god damn floor made me lose my meal almost. But, the real shiner was the end scene where the homeless guy gets stabbed and he tries to do pictionary on the wall in cold blood. THAT’s the stuff American Dad is made of!!
