MARCH ’12 TV PREVIEWS: BOB’S BURGERS, SOUTH PARK, UGLY AMERICANS
I am an old-school Irish hoodlum. And as such, March 1st means a couple of things to me: 1) We are almost to Spring 2) We are 16 days away from St. Patrick’s Day which means I will stuff my face with Corned Beef and Taters 3) We are but days away from all NEW episodes of South Park, Ugly Americans, and Bob’s Burgers!
March 11th 8:30/7:30 CST on FOX(Check your local listings):
BOB’S BURGERS
Bob Belcher is back, and he’s set to reclaim his time slot from the Allen Gregory/Napoleon Dynamite experiment that worked for some, but not others asAllen Gregory was cancelled and Napoleon Dynamite is rumored to be picked up for seven more episodes. With that said, Bob is here for an all-new full season starting March 11th on FOX(check your local listings) , and I couldn’t be happier as it is the true successor to King of the Hill and Jon Benjamin(Bob) is slowly but surely turning into a dependable source for great animated characters as Archer was also recently renewed.
March 14th 10pm on Comedy Central (Check your local listings):
SOUTH PARK
Besides Family Guy, South Park gets just about as much national news attention as the damn presidential elections. And its even worse with Matt and Trey because they had OSA on their asses, but you gotta love ’em with Season 15 giving us such classics as “Humancentipede”, “1%”, and “Broadway Bro Down”, there’s no telling what Season 16 is gonna bring(probably because even the producers don’t know yet). The new season starts March 14th on Comedy Central, check your local listings.
March 14th 10:30pm on Comedy Central (Check your local listings):
Ugly Americans
Season 2.5 of the David West(The Simpsons) developed animated series is set to start Wednesday Nights after an all new episode of South Park and after seeing the first three episodes I must say, this one might surprise a lot of people on how strong the characters are getting. For those who don’t know, Ugly Americans stars a guy named Mark(played by Matt Oberg) as he works as a social worker in NYC. If that wasn’t screwed up enough, it’s an alternate reality of NYC which is inhabited by monsters, zombies, and vampires. The new season of Ugly Americans starts on March 14th, check your local listings.
