FX DEVELOPING NEW ANIMATED SERIES WITH “AQUA TEEN” CREATOR
Yo, if you guys don’t think I know what I am talking about, guess again! Because yea, The Hollywood Reporter is reporting it, but this is the second time my prediction has come true…see what the fuck I’m talking about after the jump!
Last year I was talking about Seth Macfarlane leaving, and for FOX to maybe start looking at Adult Swim talent to come up with original programming. Alas, a few months later we get a word that FOX is working with Nick Weidenfield (The Boondocks, China IL, and SuperJail) and NOW we got this!
According to the article, FX is working with Aqua Teen creator Matt Maiellaro and Grant Dekernion on an untitled new series about a guy who was recently released from prison and that Danny McBride(Good Vibes) is being cast to lend his voice to the lead role. The project itself is coming from Rough House which features not only Danny McBride but David Gordon Green who was also an exec producer for the aforementioned recently cancelled Good Vibes.
Also, seeing as how FX recently announced a full on exclusive animation deal with Floyd Productions( Archer, Unsupervised) we can more than assume that they will be the guys animating the show, however I will do some research on my end, check back here for the latest developments.
PS Hey Fox, I have a shit ton of more ideas, how bout your people talks to my people, and we’ll do lunch, k?
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
