Review: Your Dungeon My Dragon “The Battle of the Bands, Man”

Devious laments to Overlord Kenny that his minions kinda suck, and the Lower Earth’s finest warriors take part in a battle….of the bands!

Earth’s heroes stumble onto a battle of the bands and decide to join. But, no surprise at first no one has any talent except Dr. Derek(its the hat!), but sure enough after practice and hard work, the Sound Guardians are a hit!

Meanwhile, pissed off by the fact that he is surrounded by the Indianapolis Colts of bad guys, Devious is hard pressed in getting good ideas from the Coven of Evil and as such gets reamed out by Overlord Kenny. There first plan was to turn all of the Earthlings into gold, but after a screw up of both the plan and the snacks, they switch gears and decide to enter the battle of the bands as well. Shockingly, Devious doesn’t know anything about guitars, much less how to play them until he meets an unsuspecting ghoul who pretends to teach Devious how to play, only to fuck him over…ROYALLY!  Eventually, the “Devious Matthews Band” hits the stage, and no surprise are actually better than the “Dave Matthews Band”.

Adam De La Pena is batting a .1000, as he puts out another brilliant episode of “YDMD”. Notable highlights include the band names, and Devious’ reaction when Skeleton shows off his road snack choice. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go watch Gossip Girl reruns…
