Review: Beavis & Butt-Head: “Doomsday; Dumb Design”
Episode Synopsis: The apocalypse comes and goes, leaving Beavis and Butt-head behind. They hope that their odds of scoring are increased now that they’re the last men on Earth. Later, they try to use religion to get out of class.
Spoilers Below!
You guys ever see 28 Days Later? Its kinda like that, where toxic fumes seep through North Highland and threaten everyone in a 20 mile radius. Good news, everyone pretty much gets out OK, bad news is Beavis and Butthead did not. As a result, the guys think they are the last beings on Earth and that “The World is Ours”. These guys go nuts too, ransacking a 7-Eleven and then moving into Stewart’s house, but when they believe in finding the last girl on Earth, they even strike out on that shit. Eventually, they settle in some other dude’s house and when he comes home he kicks the shit out of them both.
Dumb Design
So, these religious douches sit out in front of their school spouting off about evolution being a lie and religion having all the answers. Beavis and Butthead eventually use this to their advantage getting out of every class early and telling the teachers that they are bound to eternal damnation. Soon the guys start a media frenzy spouting their message to the world!
Cutaway Notes:Plain White T’s are a shitty ass band with a shitty as video and a shitty ass song. Get it? CINEMA CLASSICS! Beavis and Butthead head give us a rundown of the “Human Centipede” ala old school “The Critic” episodes but a bit grosser haha. Next, we get this show where all these guys live in a forest and jerk off for clams.
Overall, a fun episode for both acts and I really thought both had valid points. The first act had the boys capitalizing on a genre of movies/books/games that are SO overdone. The whole “post-apocalyptic” world scenario, which for anyone else might spell disaster in real life, but not Beavis and Butthead, no, they use it as an opportunity to try and score! As for the second act, Judge nails these religious douches right to the wall, and to be honest I’m sick of seeing these guys in downtown NY.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
