Review: Crash Canyon “The Tees That Bind”

Roxy makes a big deal about wearing glasses instead of her months old contact lenses, and Norm and Vern take in on a conference put on my the Manderbelts to get in on the latest investment opporunity.

Spoilers Below!

Roxy is unable to see anymore, mainly because she hasn’t changed her contacts in a couple of months. So Sheila(who obviously isnt an eye doctor of any kind) tries a number of different ways to remove Roxy’s lenses but because they’ve been in there so long they are basically welded in. When the lenses come out the girls need to find glasses so Roxy can see again. After rummaging through the Canyon dumb, they find a retinascope which contains the lenses that Roxy needs for her new glasses. They take it to Earl to have him manufacture the frames for the lenses but they need to pay up. So, when Roxy and Sheila go home to get some money they find out its ALL GONE!! Why? Well…

Then Vern and Norm find out about an investment opportunity of a lifetime, and despite Norm’s past failed attempts at hitting it rich, he goes.  So its him, Jake, and the cookie monster..errr I mean Vern listening to Mr. Manderbelts proposal. Right off the bat, Jake doesn’t buy in. But, Norm is interested despite the fact that he was told by the wife that he isn’t allowed to invest in anything. Reginald, eventually convinces Norm to buy in, and after being told not to do it, guess what? He does!

Eventually, Sheila tells Norm that they really need the glasses so Norm tries to go to Reginald to get his money back, to which he declines and notes that he signed a bunch of documents and all of the money has been invested.  So, Norm opts to break into Reginald’s house to get back his money with the help of Jake and Vern who promises to do it in exchange for juice and cookies.  Turns out Reginald actually has a pretty legit business and everyone gets rich, well except the Wendels. So, when they try to buy the glasses they are declined but a freak accident to Roxy makes her able to see again without glasses or contacts so all is well.

Glad to see Crash Canyon back, even if the plot this week was pretty cliched. To be honest this week sounded like EVERY episode of Home Improvement I’ve ever seen. The standard, “father spends money on something he doesn’t need so it bites him in the ass” routine has been done and dead.  However, props for the twist that Reginald was actually a decent business man. Also, Vern continues to show that he’s the funniest character in the show by far.

Error happened.
