Warner taps new head of Animation and Studio 2.0

Deadline was the first to report that Sam Register has been tapped to be the new President of Warner Bros. Animation  and Warner Digital series. CCO Peter Roth had this to say about the promotion:

“Sam has done an outstanding job shepherding Warner Bros Animation over the past six years, reinvigorating one of the most storied and accomplished animation production companies in this industry,” Roth said. “His creative instincts coupled with boundless enthusiasm, passion and energy were all key drivers in WBA’s recent successes, and I know that he will bring the same level of leadership and commitment to his new mission of building and expanding our digital series business.”

Sam is also developing the Mike Tyson Mysteries animated series that is said to be coming soon, so hopefully with this new move coupled with the Adult Swim Upfronts we can get some clarity on when the hell this show is going to premier.
