Trailer Breakdown: SuperMansion Teaser Trailer

From the producers of Robot Chicken comes SuperMansion set to stream this Fall on Crackle. A few weeks ago, a trailer for the upcoming series premiered at Comic Con, and we decided to break it down even further and showcase everything we know so far.

Welcome to SuperMansion, a new series from the producers of Robot Chicken about a group of senile superheroes living in a mansion together all the while trying to stay relevant in a world that seemingly doesn’t need them anymore. Crackle has ordered 13 episodes of the series that are set to stream this fall.

Obviously, the object of mainstream media’s star-fuckery, the show stars Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston as ”Titanium Rex”.  Pictured on the left, Titanium Rex has a litany of powers that shows close resemblance to that of an older Superman including flight, superhuman strength, and X-Ray vision.  Pictured on the right is a character by the name of ”Black Saturn” voiced by Tucker Gilmore. Black Saturn looks to be a blend of Batman and Bullseye in that he hails from a rich family and has the deep voice of Christian Bale’s Dark Knight, but features ring throwing abilities that are said to be very precise.

Series director and my favorite Carnage writer Zeb Wells is a co-creator on SuperMansion and also provides the voice of ‘Robobot’. Robobot has the ability to change his appendages into any too needed for a particular situation. We do know that Tom Root (Robot Chicken writer) is Brad and American Ranger is Keegan-Michael Key, however it is unknown as to what their respected powers are.

Yep, that’s Black Saturn using a pig to shoot farts. Just like everything else that Stoopid Buddy Stoodios does, including Robot Chicken, expect to get beaten down with a bunch of gags, unexpected punchlines, and everything else that goes along with the true mockery that is being a superhero. Stoopid Buddy has some of the best writers in the business (including the aforementioned Tom Root), and both Zeb Wells and Matt Senreich are comic book aficionados, so expect a lot of homages to superheroes from both Marvel and DC Comics.
