The ‘Special Announcement for Brian Griffin’ is a Hoax; But is ‘Vinny’ permanent??

I HATE going to the airport.
I HATE going to the airport.

So someone posted up a website called ‘Briansannoucement.com‘ with a count down clock that is due to expire on December 5th, 2013 however Deadline.com is reporting that no one at FOX is claiming to take any part in the site and released a statement in doing so.

However, there was an interesting tidbit in there about Tony Sirico in that Deadline is reporting that the voice of Brian’s replacement aka ‘Vinnie’ is only confirmed to appear in about six more episodes with the possibility of more on the way. If that’s the case then we aren’t getting a whole bunch of ‘Vinnie’ on Family Guy given that we are still mid-way through this season and for him to be in new episodes he would literally have to start recording like right now for any additional episodes to happen perhaps next season.

So, is ‘Vinnie’ just a trial run for something else? We will have to wait and see. In the meantime, Family Guy returns December 8th only on FOX, check your local listings.
