Review: Uncle Grandpa ‘Sick Bag’

Spoilers Below

A monster is terrorizing the downtown area, but Belly Bag is sick so Uncle G. can’t fight the son of a bitch. To help, Uncle Grandpa goes small so that he can crawl inside Belly Bag and find the ‘bug’. While Gus is trying to get Belly Bag healthier with a bowl of chicken noodle soup, Grandpa ends up fighting off a bunch of hands before he runs into a big huge bug! Unfortunately, Uncle Grandpa gets captured and we learn that the bug inside was contracted by way of bad sushi. Worse yet, this bug has Grandpa’s laser hammer. Thankfully, Grandpa gets free and uses some chicken noodles to whip that bug into shape and make Belly Bag feel all better. The crazy monster from before comes back, but this time Grandpa has his hammer….his very sick hammer. This hammer gets everyone in the RV AND the monster sick, leaving Belly Bag to serve up soup for everyone.

Gus vs a Robot

A crazy robot comes after Gus leading the big lizard on a merry chase. Turns out it was a ‘Tiny Robot’.

A TON of TV shows have done the whole ‘Let’s shrink and get into someone’s body’ plot device, but none of them were a satchel which is just one of the many things that make Uncle Grandpa such a unique show. Hell, Grandpa even tried to warn everyone that a bug was inside of Belly Bag, but NO ONE would listen, so I was glad to see Uncle G. get a mark in HIS column. One of the other things that this episode did, was continue to accentuate how bad-ass the character designs are. From the monster terrorizing downtown, to the Frankenstein with the morphing capabilities inside of Belly Bag, this is one of the better production crews in the game. Unfortunately, the short didn’t do much for me, and moreover I prefer the shorts that have NONE of the principal UG cast in them (ex. see last week). However, this week’s episode of Uncle Grandpa will make you feeling better than when you came in.
