Review: Uncle Grandpa ‘Charlie Burgers’

Uncle Grandpa returns with burgers…Charlie Burgers.

Spoilers Below

This dog gets his ball stuck on the roof so naturally Uncle Grandpa crash lands to see if he can help. The name of the dog is Charlie Burgers and after UG intros his pals he gets to work. Turns out the gang knows what its like to lose their balls so Grandpa grabs a button and turns their world upside-down. Problem is the ball seems to defy the laws of gravity and now its starting to thunderstorm like crazy up in the clouds. The gang ends up in the grasp of a big huge eagle, but Gus is able to get them out of trouble leading Uncle Grandpa to grab Charlie’s ball. Welp, Grandpa ends up hurling the ball into outer space with the dog chasing close behind it to catch it. The crew call upon their trusty flying tiger who flies them through space and helps them save Charlie Burger. Unfortunately, everyone is getting sucked into a black hole, so Charlie offers up his ball as sacrifice to plug the hole and send everyone back down to Earth…in time to blow it up.

After Grandpa brushes his teeth, Gus goes through downtown like Godzilla destroying everything that is moving and smashing those that are not.

I love talking dogs and Charlie Burgers is a welcome addition to the animated lore of canines. Pizza Steve is kinda the best, too in terms of spicing things up which was needed this episode because I just thought the episode was a bit disorganized even for Uncle Grandpa standards. That said, the shorts near the end were very funny and it was good to see those make a return. I want some burgers now.
