Apu’s Kwik-E-Mart has some new competition in Springfield coming from a new organic-supermarket that features a lot of the things that Apu never has, like fresh food, fruit, and a Paula Paul autograph session where Homer gets a new kitchen gadget signed for Marge’s birthday, complete with a scheduled live televised phone call from the famous chef herself! The call was supposed to be live, but instead turned into a ton of voicemails as a result of Bart’s bunny nibbling through the phone cord. This infuriates Homer to stuff Bart into the rabbit cage, which Bart begins to settle in and call home. That is until Homer kicks his ass out causing Bart to wage a spray-painted revenge against his dopey-dad.
Bart’s not the only one feeling the heat, as Apu tries to stick up the new supermarket with a gun with Snake working the counter. Bart on the other hand, decides to use his notoriety as a graffiti artist to try out some new originals which garner the attention of some of the top graffiti artists in the world who convinces Bart to open up his own art gallery which turns into a stake out by the police department.  Speaking of opening, after almost going under, Apu hears that his rival store is going out of business so he opens back up.
This was probably the most original episode of The Simpsons that have been broadcasted in quite some time, as all the other episodes seemed rehashed with overused plot lines. I could NOT get over how great all the Bart Simpson tags were! I felt like a kid in a candy store pointing and being like “Look at that one, and that one”. Let’s put it this way, if you have ever wanted a Simpsons tattoo, this was a great episode to find one.
