Review: Spongebob Squarepants “ScavengerPants”

Overview (Spoilers Below)

Squidward appears to be trying to get some R&R when Patrick and Spongebob barge in looking for something to do because both are bored to tears at the moment. As a result, Squidward puts the duo on multiple scavenger hunts for items that don’t really exist, only for Pat and Spongebob to come back with every item. Squidward decides to REALLY put the boys to the test when he asks them to find his long-lost brother. After six months of searching, they can’t find him because he doesn’t exist, but they do convince Mrs. Tentacles to adopt both Spongebob and Patrick so now Squidward has TWO brothers.

Our Take

The punchlines for what Spongebob and Patrick brought back were pretty funny, but other than that it was really the same gag over and over again. Kind of a garden-variety episode which is kinda the sore thumb in this week’s of premieres because every other episode has had something a bit more unique than what normal Spongebob entails.
