Review: Sanjay and Craig “Huggle Day”

Spoilers Below

Sanjay, Craig, and the whole town of Lundgren are celebrating Huggle Day. The name of the game features the entire town going to the park and picking presents out of the mouth hole of the Huggle Bunny. Sanjay and Craig go first, but pick presents they don’t want so they double dip and get different presents…you can’t do that. Huggle Bunny gets pissed and takes the entire celebration with him leading the town to turn on Sanjay and Craig. The duo has to head into the woods and convince Huggle Bunny to come back, but wolves chase the duo all the way to the edge of the cliff. Fortunately, Dolph Lundgren shows up and saves the two…or does he?

Dolph leads Sanjay and Craig up to a mountain to find Huggle Bunny all depressed and alone. We come to find out that Huggle Bunny started Huggle Day, not as a way to GET presents, but to GIVE. When Sanjay learns this, Huggle Bunny and the entire gang race down the mountain and teach the local folk what they have learned. At first, people can’t accept the idea of not getting presents, but they do learn that giving is what matters this time of year.

Our Take

With Creed in theaters racking up Oscar fever, it makes perfect sense to have Ivan Drago show up for Sanjay and Craig. And as luck would have it, Dolph Lundgren delivers tenfold. From killing wolves with his bare hands to punching holes in mountains, Dolph was absolutely out of his god damned mind. Huggle Bunny was also pretty funny given that he stayed silent and showed no emotions so he almost had this charm to him that you couldn’t help but feel sorry for him, but in the creepiest way possible.

And while we technically don’t get a Christmas episode, “Huggle Day” features all of the important morals of Christmas including not being greedy, and thinking about others this time of year. Sanjay and Craig display this fabulously and finishes out 2015 on a high note. This show has had as much of a turn around like any other franchise, showcasing a series that’s just as ridiculous as Regular Show when it wants to be. 2016 could be a stand out year.
