Review: Regular Show “Silver Dude”

Spoilers Below

Mordecai and Rigby need to get a new game, but they don’t have any cash so they go to Benson to do a job for some money and he obliges by asking them to wax the floor. Later, the guys decide to just be street performers after seeing a silver dude make a killing by doing the same. Obviously, the duo decide to rep their own style so they decide to start singing songs for cash and guess what? It works! After they eat lunch, Mordecai and Rigby come back to find that the silver dude making cash on THEIR songs!  They try to go to another spot, but the silver dude is still making a killing but when Rigby tries to fight the silver dude they activate the God of Street performing!

The God of Street Performing shows up and decides to do up a street performing competition between Mordecai/Rigby vs the silver dude. Mordecai and Rigby end up winning and they send silver dude to street performer jail then take the money they earned and purchase the game.

For starters this is the first episode of Regular Show with an 11 minute run time where the network cut the episode in HALF for a commercial. In any case, the second episode of the night offered little more than another competition plot where everyone and their mother probably could have called the end. I also think the writers have OFFICIALLY ran out of ideas for home media for the boys to fight for as we’ve already seen VHS, Laser-disc, and now games as the prize so I think we can put those premises to rest but the dialogue was comical so I guess we can pass it…for now!
