Review: Regular Show “Donut Factory Holiday”

Mordecai, Rigby, and the crew are watching a hilarious “B” movie called Donut Factory Holiday and when it finishes the duo ready to return the VHS to the VHS Rental Store. Problem is the tape gets stuck in the VCR and despite everyone’s best efforts, this thing isn’t coming out. Rigby even gets his hand stuck in the VCR and then Muscle Man throws the fucker across the room knocking him out in the process. So now we’ve got two problems:

1. The tape has to be back on time or the guys will suffer a $200 late fee.
2. Rigby’s hand is stuck in the VCR

The park employees are doing everything they can to get Rigby’s arm out, but decide to give up and return the VCR tape with Rigby’s arm attached to the machine. The VCR Rental manager doesn’t buy it, and Rigby and crew take off in the golf cart with the VCR store’s bounty hunter close behind in a high-action chase. The bounty hunter’s advances are thwarted and Rigby’s able to destroy the VCR without destroying the tape, and now we can make a return. Unfortunately, when Rigby and Mordecai try to rent the Donut Factory Holiday’s sequel, they don’t have a VCR anymore to watch it with.

Our Take

Boy, do I miss this show quite a bit and this episode was evident of that. A rather standard premise turns into one of the most hilarious chases ever, and all the crazy shit along the way. Rigby getting knocked out was ridiculous, the VCR repair guy was deranged, and the bounty hunter were just such classic stupid characters to go along with a wonderful collection of other classic stupid characters.

I’m tired of this waiting around for new Regular Show episodes, please give me more.
