Review: Pig Goat Banana Cricket “Angry Old Raisin”

Cricket wants to impress Dr. Eggplant Face so as to get on the cover of one of his magazines. The invention that Cricket wants to showcase is a ‘Baby Maker’ that ends up turning the rest of his roommates into babies. The machine he uses ends up getting destroyed, and Banana eats one of the parts. As a result, Cricket has to pump Banana full of juice to get his handle back, but he ends up turning himself into a baby with Dr. Eggplant Face now in the house. The invention that he’s most impressed with? A pizza hammer that inspires him to put Burgerstein, holding the babies, on his cover. 20 years later, the babies grow up.

Pig wreaks havoc at his elderly neighbor’s (aka Angry Raisin) house after mowing his lawn. Pig regrows Raisin’s crops with monster plants, so he kills them and agrees to fix Raisin’s garden and his house. Raisin’s PISSED and orders Pig off his property. A dinosaur shows up, and puts on Raisin’s house as pants.

Goat accidentally sends a bad-email to the president after everyone else gets invited to a gala except her. JUST as she sends out the nasty email, the president shows up and PERSONALLY invites Goat to her gala. As a result, Goat’s gotta go to the president’s house and delete that email before he does. Problem is, the president’s house is VERY secure. With the help of the aforementioned dinosaur, she’s able to get in, but the president gets the angry email, but he’s not mad.

Banana performs in a talent show because it’s mandatory for all scout masters to perform with their troop and of course he’s got the Junior Rangers. But, what’s Banana going to do? He tries a few things that aren’t any of HIS talents, from pickles to music, nothing seems to work. So, Banana turns to Cricket to have a chip implanted in his brain that’s supposed to give him talent but doesn’t work at all. On the night of his performance, Banana shows off his remote-control twirl tricks that seems to go over JUST fine with the audience. Ranger keeps Banana on the staff, but then he shows off the rest of Goat’s video which gets the rest of the crowd laughing. As a retort, the president does an impression of Goat. Angry Raisin and his dinosaur show up and cause Cricket’s machine to go off turning both him and the others back into babies.

Our Take

Another fantastic week for Pig Goat Banana Cricket. Angry Raisin was hilarious, and the babies gun was awesome. Everybody’s bit was well-written and when combined they form a fist of comedic fury that ends up being Nickelodeon’s best show of the evening. Oh yea, and Scottish dinosaurs are awesome.
