We are back in the 2nd Dimension, and we see that people are trying to move on post Doof’s rule.  Candace aka the leader the resistance, gets a call from Major asking for help in locating all of the animal agents of the OWCA. With Doof in jail, who the hell is causing the turmoil? Turns out it’s Doof’s ex Charlene who decides to enslave the cyborg animals and take over the tri-state area. Eventually, Perry gets nabbed, so Phineas teams up with her sister to go on the hunt and get all of the animals back. Problem is the only way the kids can get help, is if they free Doof. They do just that, but we find out that the mad scientist and Charlene were lying about being divorced, and that they really do plan to take over. A fight ensues, and the gang has to replace all of the animal hats with agents hats, thereby reverting all of the animals back to normal and allowing Candace to retire.

This year has been a really good one for Phineas and Ferb. The producers are trying a lot of new and interesting ideas, and I’ve always liked this pseudo-alternate reality for Phineas and Ferb and it was exciting to get another chapter. No matter how serious this show gets, the producers know how to put enough gags and snappy dialogue in there to make it work, and I was on board the whole time. I LOVED seeing Candace as someone who can really kick ass, and even if the cyborgs take away some of the cuteness of the animals, the resistance was strong here.
