Review: NFL Rush Zone: Guardians Unleashed “The Final Betrayal”

Today’s guests are Gerald “Not LeSean” McCoy of the Tampa Bay Bucs and Mercedes “More Like Kia” Lewis of the Jacksonville Jags.

Sudden Death is in Tampa to steal from the Bucs. After a brief battle, he’s able to steal the MegaCore and disappear. At the Hall Of Knowledge, the Guardians scramble to figure out a way to defend against this menace. It is noted that Sudden Death was able to personally touch a MegaCore and that his possession of a Super Bowl Ring is giving him this power. Ash gives RZ her necklace in hopes that an answer can be found inside. Marty heads home and is confronted by his dad. Apparently, Marty has been a bit lax on his schoolwork and chores. His father reminds him that his family has made many sacrifices to allow him to be a Guardian and if he doesn’t straighten up, he may just have to give up being a Guardian.

Wild Card and Drop Kick head through the portal and land in Jacksonville. Sudden Death might be after the Jags MegaCore and Wild Card doesn’t want that to happen. The power struggle leads to a huge battle on the field. As the Guardians arrive, they choose to stop Sudden Death. Sudden Death disappears again and after he does, Wild Card surrenders. These attacks have been a little more organized than normal and the Guardians try to decipher why. As it turns out, the Jags and the Bucs play in London that week during an International Game. The Guardians head off to escort the Jags to London, but Marty is called home for an urgent message. He left home without finishing his report so his father has taken his NFLR and won’t let him have it back until he finishes his schoolwork.

The Guardians arrive in England. As the Jags MegaCore is headed to its vault, Sudden Death ambushes and obtains the MegaCore. He then heads to Stonehenge and releases a spider-like monster into the world. Back in Canton, with Marty out of commission the Guardians turn to Wild Card for help. He fills in as their sixth team member and they head off to defeat Sudden Death. Once everyone leaves, things begin to go haywire inside the Hall Of Knowledge. It’s Drop Kick and he’s draining all of the power out of the Hall. He’s able to fire a shot and take out RZ’s computer. Marty shows up and is able to use the Guardian’s distraction and pull the plug on the monster. Wild Card runs off after revealing that Drop Kick was working alongside him to steal the Core. The Guardians head into the HOK and destroy Drop Kick with the power of the Super Bowl rings. It will take a while to rebuilt their base, but for now the world is safe.
