ISIS is supposed to stop a human trafficker coming over from the Mexican border, but instead Sterling shoots Cyril and beats the shit out of Lana, then handcuffs them then takes off with the trafficker aka Mareno with all of her cargo. While speeding down some pretty barren terrains, Archer eventually gets pulled over by the Border Patrol, and soon a shootout ensues with Sterling getting hit, but the two patrolmen handcuffed while Mareno and the crew head off with the cargo (one of whom was carrying a Mac-10 that would help Mareno and Archer take off).

After questioning Lana and Cyril for quite a while, Malory decides to give up on them and send in a Med-evac after Archer calls screaming in pain and obviously drunk. Despite worries that Archer’s call was an elaborate voice-mail, Malory actually goes through the extraction with Sterling. But, did she do it for her son? Or was there a big huge scheme in play here the entire time???

Despite the decent twist near the end of the episode, this week’s episode of Archer had a lot of problems. For one, I felt the plot was a bit too similar to the ‘Once Bitten’ deal with a lot of the same jokes and plot devices used that were seen in both. Yep, switch out ethnic groups…you’ve got the same episode. I’m a little tired of TWO trends that we are seeing in Archer, repeated scenery and male nudity. Remove one or all of these and we will be cool. Also, similar to the Los Scandalous episode last year, this episode had a lot f Spanish speaking and no captions to help translate which often had me lost among all the dialog. I couldn’t help but think that I lost out on some funny one-liners and jokes in the process. Yea, I could go learn Spanish, instead I’m going to give this piece of raw whatever to the wolves.
