Reddit AMA Recap: Seth Meyers talks up ‘The Awesomes’

Seth Meyers stopped by Reddit to take part in an AMA session and answered all sorts of questions about his upcoming Emmy hosting gig, working on SNL, and of course the his hit animated series The Awesomes which JUST got picked up for a third season the other day by Hulu. While Seth didn’t drop a whole lot of hints about what to expect the rest of the way for season 2 however when someone asked whether or not we are going to see hero installations in international cities, Seth just told us to ‘keep watching’. More-over, Seth has confirmed the Teletoon at Night premier of The Awesomes happening this September.

Seth also talked a little bit about the differences between writing for The Awesomes and his other gigs with the main points being that Seth gets to use different writing muscles when scripting an animated television show with story arcs. Since the writing staff is able to get more time on a script for a series versus a bit, they get more time to polish and make the story arcs really, good.  These arcs effectively become stories and even if the voice actors haven’t a clue what is going on in any given scene, they are usually good enough to get by.
