PTC cries rape over ‘Family Guy’ episode

The Parent Television Council is urging viewers to file complaints to the FCC about FOX airing a Family Guy episode concerning statutory rape.

For those that don’t recall, Glenn Quagmire is put on trial after sleeping with a high school student. He ends up going to jail, but then his mom bangs out the judge and he is granted his release.

The PTC claims that the episode aired during a prime-hour of children’s television viewing with the 9 pm ET/PT time-slot, and claims that Family Guy is HUGE with the 12-17 and even 2-11 age groups ( I bet Pampers is licking their chops for the next ad spots after hearing that tidbit).

In any case, the claim is rather bogus and just like all of the other right-wing psycho semantic claims made by this organization, it will probably fall by death’s ears due to the freedom of speech. Furthermore, the PTC was founded by L. Brent Bozell whom went on live television and call Obama a ‘skinny negro crackhead’. No fines were issued when Brent was clearly defaming our President’s character, so something tells me they won’t get much help. Besides, this isn’t the first-time the PTC has complained about a rape joke.
