‘Jeff & Some Aliens’ get pickup by Comedy Central!
The pilot presentation for the TripTank spin-off must’ve worked, because Comedy Central has ordered 10 episodes of Jeff and Some Aliens set to debut sometime in 2016.
Jeff And Some Aliens follows Jeff, the world’s most average guy, and the three aliens sent to study him to determine whether or not humanity should be destroyed. Jeff’s mundane life is constantly thrown into chaos by his extraterrestrial guests – it isn’t always easy having roommates who force you to participate in grueling intergalatic decathalons or perform Azurian honor killings to restore interstellar balance.
For eight episodes of TripTank season one to lead to all of this, I can’t wait until TripTank season two’s 20 episodes which could surely showcase a bunch more ideas that could eventually make its way to the big time. We came up with some ideas of which other animated shorts from TripTank season one should get the pick up, but congrats to the producers of Jeff and Some Aliens.
Jeff and Some Aliens is executive produced by TripTank‘s Sean Donnelly and Alessandro Minoli and executive produced by ShadowMachine’s Corey Campdonico and Alex Bulkley.
Hi Ashley, thank you so much for reading and we love the feedback. Note that on that day we had 14th posts go up and only ten posts show on the front page, so it's possible the preview had already been archived by the time you got to it. One recommendation would be to add our RSS feed to your favorite news aggregator service like Feedly, this way you get all of the latest posts!
