ITS WEB’S DAY!! “REALLY FREAKING EMBARRASSING”(@RlyFnEmbrrssng), FANBOY RAMPAGE, RYAN GOSLING ORDERS A CHEESEBURGER

This week in an all-new edition of Webs Day, we get one new show from Shut Up Cartoons, one from Mondo Mini, and Ryan Gosling ordering a Cheeseburger inspired by the movie Drive. After the jump, see which shows should stay, which should go, and which should “Drive”.

REALLY FREAKING EMBARRASSING “TILT-A-HURL”

This new animated series coming from Shut Up Cartoons calls CatDog creator Peter Hannan its maker but doesn’t really live up to his prior work. The basic premise of the show is an animated retelling of an embarrassing story. Unfortunately, this story isn’t all that funny and the animation isn’t all that inspiring especially when compared to Shut Up Cartoons other efforts. I do like the opening setup into the story but other than that Really Freaking Embarrassing is kind of freaking lame.

Fanboy Rampage “Resident Evil”

Mondo’s pilot for this series revolves around a bunch of kids running around town ‘killing’ people as an homage to Resident Evil. And despite the fact that we really don’t have any plot or moving dialogue the short actually comes off rather funny. This show gets a pass from me but I’d worry the series being any longer than the :90 second run time it currently clocks at because any longer than that, boredom can certainly set in. That said, definitely give this one a watch.

Ryan Gosling from “Drive” Orders A Cheeseburger

This new short from “Kurttoons” is really really funny but will probably only appeal to people who have seen Drive and listened to the soundtrack a 100 times(guilty) to really get it. That said, the illustrators and voice crew did a pretty damn good job of nailing Ryan’s look and cadence from the movie and the soundtrack is pretty much on point. Although, why wouldn’t Ryan go through ‘Drive-Thru’??
