Harley Quinn Gets A New Voice In Upcoming Animated Film

Is this the right move?

Kevin Conroy is returning as Batman, Loren Lester is Nightwing, Paget Brewster is Poison Ivy, and then add John DiMaggio (Ben 10), Eric Bauza, Rob Paulsen, Robin Atkin Downes, Mindy Sterling, Trevor Devall to the upcoming original animated film Batman and Harley Quinn, and we’ve got a real solid lineup.

So far so good, no real craziness…until now. Set to voice Harley Quinn will be Melissa Rauch ( Big Bang Theory). Despite the fact that the role has been voiced by a number of different actresses since Arleen Sorkin retired from doing so, I was under the impression that Harley Quinn would stay with Tara Strong given how strong her performances were in the Batman: Arkham City games.

In any case, the film is set to release sometime in the summer, probably right around San Diego Comic Con, and will be an original tale featuring Harley Quinn, Batman, and Nightwing in what looks like the most logical extension of the Batman: The Animated Series that has come out on home release in quite some time.

What do you guys think of the casting announcement? Should Tara Strong stayed as Harley Quinn, or do you like the new casting?
