FOX Pushing Back Return Of “The Simpsons” And “Family Guy” In Favor Of Another Simpson

Well, this sucks.

FOX had originally promoted the returns of Family Guy and The Simpsons this Sunday Night, but instead, FOX has picked up the broadcast rights to “O.J. SIMPSON: THE LOST CONFESSION?”

In 2006, O.J. Simpson sat down with the noted publisher, producer and host Judith Regan for a wide-ranging, no-holds-barred interview, in which Simpson gives a shocking hypothetical account of the events that occurred on the night his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman, were brutally murdered.  During their conversation, Simpson, in his own words, offers a detailed – and disturbing – description of what might have happened on that fateful night of June 12, 1994. This interview featured lost interview tapes that never saw the light of day until now.

The two-hour long premiere event obviously means that new episodes of The Simpsons and Family Guy will NOT come back this Sunday and instead will do so on the 18th. Oddly enough, FOX IS premiering a new episode of Bob’s Burgers of which we will have more info on later this week. I guess, someone at FOX scheduling felt that NASCAR followed by Bob’s Burgers followed by an OJ Simpson special was money all day.
