REVIEW MAGGIE SIMPSON IN “LONGEST DAY CARE”

Are you a fan of Bongo Comics?? Do you read and enjoy “Maggie’s Crib” by Sergio Aragones??? Welp, FOX has heard you because this is pretty much that, just in 3D and animated and better than Ice Age: Continental Drift.

Oh, 20th Century FOX you are some sly motherfuckers. As of this writing, Ice Age:Continental Drift has already made and WAY surpassed what it was budgeted for because its already been released internationally for a few weeks now. Here’s where they get ME, I had to pay 15 dollars to see Maggie Simpson in Longest Day Care, then the opening credits came up for Ice Age: Continental Drift and I just pretty much got up and left. BOOM! Guess what, if they do it again, I probably won’t learn my lesson but hey…I do it for you guys.

With that said Longest Day Care hearkens back to the olden days of cartoons when animation was pretty much a bunch of silent shorts at the nickelodeon coupled with piano play. In it we get what pretty much serves a sequel to the “A Streetcar named Marge” where Maggie is in a day care but is sent into a dark room with no toys and is faced off with a familiar unfriendly customer. I could tell you the rest of the story but @ 4:30 seconds you should go see it because it is quite a beautiful sight to see similar to(as I mentioned before) one of Sergio’s shorts in the Simpsons Comics. Seeing Maggie in a different dimension altogether is certainly something special and the fact that there really is no dialogue is kind of a novelty that you couldn’t imagine nowadays.

Overall, the short is really really good…but don’t do what I do. Wait or it to come out on DVD or instant stream on Netflix because although the short is pretty awesome, FOX makes you pay for it…
