English Dub Review: Lastman “I’m Sorry”

Does the penultimate episode have us jazzed?

Overview (Spoilers Below)

Howard and Charles’ relationship appears to go way back according to these flashbacks of Howard and the Ren leader fucking around with a book they found that would unleash the Rens and would basically turn Charles into Rizel.

This book showcased the cup that both Howard and Rizel read about all those years about and after winning the big fight with Gemini, Richard takes the cup and receives a vision to go to some cave which is where Howard and Richard head with Siri. Howard pulls a double cross on Richard and is able to Howard’s recreate this in the cave only this time for Siri. The result is a huge monster and Howard heading into a portal while Richard goes after Rizel for a big showdown slated to happen next week.

Our Take

This week’s episode does a good job of explaining some of the plot holes in regards to the Ren over the show’s run and we get a good setup for the season finale. There’s not a BUNCH that happens this week in terms of action, rather it’s more of an interstitial episode but required to help lynchpin the multiple backstabs that go down and even get more of a background on who Rizel is.
