Does Fox TV have FOX ADHD ‘s back??

Having a little trouble discerning FOX’s marketing campaign for ADHD…

I actually like the New York Times, Rolling Stone Magazineand Washington Post mainly because  they are or were all respectable publications with Rolling Stone kinda the one on my bad side right now due to their pretty terrible interviews for the Seth Rogen film This Is The End. That said, I’m having trouble seeing the value of FOX’s ADHD doing a bunch of stories with the Times and Post seeing as how they keep trying to pitch the fact that they are looking to change the face of animation. For the most part the producers of ADHD, are doing that, housing an animation studio all in the States to push out content that looks extremely promising like Axe Cop and High School USAboth looking to premier July 21st @ 9:30pm EST on FOX. However, are the marketing peeps at FOX looking to be a bit more creative in their marketing of ADHD or are they going too old-school??

My issue is, if you are telling people your are looking to change animation, in my opinion you have to change how it’s advertised. Yes, FOX has been doing a great job in showing promos on TV, but for the most (and judging from the aforementioned Times article) the network is taking a word-to-mouth approach in getting the word out about their animated shows. The network needs to be a bit more proactive in my opinion as we live in a television landscape of about a 1000 channels not including the Netflixes and Amazons of the world. As a result, I hope the higher ups practice some patience and are able to see the big picture otherwise we could be seeing a short-lived concept with Animation Domination HD.

In reference to the actual Times article, it was a rather well-done write up but this is the first new bit of news for Golan the Insatiable in a while and really it was less news and more about the new preview pic. One of the more interesting takes is the bit about Adult Swim aka ADHD Exec Producer’s  Nick Weidenfeld’s old stomping ground where whence talking about the Lucas Bros. Moving Coaccording to the article:

What the Lucas brothers’ show has in common with the rest of the High-Def programming is, Mr. Weidenfeld insists, a lack of cynicism. By contrast, Adult Swim was “not an optimistic channel,” he said.

Trust me, I’ll admit it just as much as the next person that I much prefer Adult Swim with cartoons versus live-action and judging from a bunch of comments on the Adult Swim Facebook page there are legions of fans that agree, but wow. That is a DIRECT shot at Adult Swim, which tells me maybe the split between Nick and the Turner-owned network wasn’t as frothy as once thought.

In any case, Nick helped develop a lot of awesome programming for Adult Swim, and it looks as though his eye is just as sharp for the new FOX endeavor. Here’s hoping FOX has got Nick’s back.
