Comics Review: Bart Simpson #95

This month’s issue of Bart Simpson comics features three new stories. The first one features Bart getting a new job at the Kwik-E-Mart so that he can make money for wrasslin’ tickets. He actually makes it to ASM, but gets fired for giving free food to the main event of the match. In any case, he gets ringside seats! Then we get a short where Ralphie has an allergic reaction. Finally, Otto loses his job as a school bus driver, so he teams up with Lisa to launch a service where people who needs rides to get places can ping the duo via a mobile app. Otto starts off slow, but soon gains a hardcore following. Unfortunately, his heart was with being a school bus driver and Skinner gives him back the keys.

Our Take

A very solid issue featuring three fun stories. I loved the Otto bit, because they put in a bunch of Black Sabbath lyrics and that always gets extra points in my book. And although we’ve seen a few instances where Bart or someone from The Simpsons works at the Mart other than Apu, this one provided a good moral. If you want something…get a job. If you do have a job, I recommend you spend your $3 on this new issue.
