10 Times Other Broadcast Networks Tried To Beat “The Simpsons” But Failed Miserably
Yes, The Critic was a really good show. Today’s executive producer of The Simpsons, Al Jean, used a lot of the principles learned under the Mace Windu of character designs aka Matt Groening to produce a show that was super funny and could certainly be rebooted today. Unfortunately, the franchise lasted two seasons and when the guy who created The Simpsons hates your show, no matter how good you are, Groening and his legions of fans will turn on you and that’s exactly what happened.
There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
