Will Bongo Comics release ‘Bartman Stories’??
Back at San Diego Comic Con, Bongo Comics had produced a limited run 80-page trade paper back entitled ”The Greatest Bartman Stories Ever Told”. The collection includes Bongo’s favorite Bartman comics collected in one volume!
The question is whether or not this special trade will see a wide release. Lately, we’ve been seeing more Bartman action in both the Simpsons Comics Compendium as well as in the Illustrated issue editions, so a full on issue isn’t out of the question, however would Bongo do it? Radioactive Man has had his own STELLAR volumes, so maybe there is a possibility.
Bartman (along with Radioactive Man) are some of the best characters that differentiate the comics from The Simpsons TV show. A full on collection would be just perfect.
There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
