Picking up from the previous episode, Get Jiro! continues to build tension as Jiro’s schemes threaten to spiral out of control. The latest installment explores Detective Cynda’s tragic past and how it shaped her, while Bob and Rose’s rivalry threatens to plunge LA into chaos. Meanwhile, Cynda’s investigation brings her closer to uncovering the truth behind the growing conflict.
Despite their rocky start, Cynda and Jiro begin to develop a mutual understanding, with both risking their lives to protect each other. I like how Cynda is shaping up to be a compelling character with a heart of gold, and I’m glad Bob and Rose catch on to the possibility that they’ve both been duped by Jiro’s machinations. Their reactions make them seem a lot less dumb, while the growing connection between Cynda and Jiro leaves me curious about how their respective pasts might relate.
Overall, this was another engaging chapter that balances rising tensions with meaningful character development. I particularly like the direction they’re taking Cynda’s character, and I’m interested to see how Jiro’s story develops alongside hers.
