Glitch Productions Greenlights Full Season of ‘Gameoverse’ Following Breakout Pilot Success

Independent animation powerhouse Glitch Productions—the studio behind global sensations The Amazing Digital Circus and Murder Drones—has officially greenlit a full season of Gameoverse. Created by Ross O’Donovan (RubberRoss), the comedy-action sci-fi animated drama received the greenlight following the massive success of its pilot in May 2026, which has already pulled in over 31 million views.

What is Gameoverse?

Set in a sprawling digital universe where every individual planet operates as its own self-contained video game, Gameoverse follows Kit and Team Nimble of the Farcade. Together, they navigate vibrant worlds filled with unique rules, heroes, and villains.

However, beneath the arcade-inspired chaos lies a devastating secret: when a hero defeats a villain or achieves a game’s win condition, the entire planet is destroyed, releasing a powerful energy source known as Float.

As the villain Syntax infiltrates worlds to manipulate heroes into winning and harvesting Float, Kit and her team must fight to preserve the status quo. To save lives, they are forced to sabotage destiny, protect the bad guy, and ensure the hero never wins—all while dealing with Kit’s personal trauma from knowing firsthand what happens when they fail.

Creator Ross O’Donovan shared his excitement about the news:

“I’m happy to share with you all that more Gameoverse is coming! I’m excited for you all to see what me and my extraordinary team have been cooking. Thank you for your continued support!”

Star-Studded Cast & Crew

The pilot featured an ensemble voice cast packed with notable animation and internet talent, including:

  • Erica Lindbeck (Helluva Boss) as Kit

  • Chris Sabat (Dragon Ball Z)

  • Elsie Lovelock (Murder Drones)

  • Michael Cusack (Smiling Friends)

  • Prominent creators and personalities Arin Hanson, JSchlatt, and Ross O’Donovan himself.

Additionally, the series features an incredible musical lineup composed by legendary video game composers Grant Kirkhope (Banjo-Kazooie) and Jake Kaufman (Shantae).

Erica Lindbeck expressed her connection to the project, noting, “This project already has a huge piece of my heart, and I cannot wait to share Kit’s journey with you guys!”

Expanding Glitch’s Independent Slate

The greenlight further expands Glitch Productions’ growing catalog of original, creator-driven animated projects. Following the phenomenal reach of The Amazing Digital Circus and Murder Drones, as well as introducing Knights of Guinevere at the Animation is Film Festival, Gameoverse represents another major milestone for independent animation.

Luke Lerdwichagul, Co-Founder of Glitch Productions, emphasized the studio’s dedication to O’Donovan’s long-standing passion project:

“With the greenlight of Gameoverse—we’re incredibly excited to bring Ross’s world to life who’s been crafting the show with more than a decade of meticulous dedication. The characters, worlds and stories he has created are wonderfully distinctive and diverse, making this a fantastic addition to Glitch’s lineup of shows.”

“We understand that this project is more than just a story for Ross. A deeply personal work that has been years in the making. We’re committed to honoring that vision and bringing it to the screen with the care it deserves.”
