Review: Clevatess “The World We See, And the Hidden World”

Overview

Alicia learns about the second world hidden in the mirror, as the battle between Klen and The Solsein School continues…

Our Take

Picking up from the previous episode, Clevatess takes a more lore-focused approach as the growing conflict surrounding the mysterious “Union” cult comes into focus. The episode expands the world through new revelations about the organization, the Book of Toah, the mirror world, and the forces operating behind the scenes, while also giving several characters more meaningful context. Alicia remains a highlight, particularly as her determination to uphold the ideals of a hero continues to shape her actions even when circumstances become increasingly complicated.

Although this is a quieter chapter with little emphasis on action, the wealth of new information gives the story plenty of momentum heading forward. This newly introduced Cult adds another intriguing layer to the ongoing conflict, while the revelations surrounding Princess Milea and her connection to the larger scheme provide some compelling character development. With multiple factions now converging and Alicia making her own moves, the episode effectively broadens the scope of the story without losing sight of its central characters.

Overall, this is a solid buildup episode that prioritizes world-building, character development, and setting the stage for what comes next. While it may not deliver the same immediate excitement as the series’ more action-heavy chapters, the new lore and shifting alliances make the larger story increasingly intriguing. *Clevatess* clearly has bigger plans in motion, and this episode does a good job of quietly moving the pieces into place before the next major confrontation.
