Overview

Magical Girls from Magilumiere and AST simultaneously face a rampaging new Kaii species. Our Take

Picking up from the previous episode, Magilumiere and AST are forced to work together when a newly evolved Kaii threatens both companies. While Hitomi attempts to bridge the gap with Tsuchiba, their conflicting ideals create more tension before the two sides can cooperate. As the Kaii continues to mutate, Tsutsumi reveals he had anticipated the situation and uses the crisis as a chance to push his own agenda.

The rest of the proceedings also take time to explore Hitomi’s past, revealing the circumstances behind her joining Magilumiere as their first magical girl. Her backstory adds more depth to her character, especially as her determination to help others mirrors the values she has always held. Meanwhile, Kana manages to bring everyone together at the last moment, leading to an unexpected alliance between Magilumiere and AST as they prepare for the upcoming battle.
