Our Take
Picking up from the previous episode, the story continues to unravel the mystery surrounding the kingdom’s magic system as Seiichiro and his allies uncover troubling irregularities involving the Church’s methods and the way magic is being collected. As Sigma, Ist, Yurius, and the others investigate, their discoveries raise serious questions about long-held traditions, while Seiichirou unexpectedly finds himself caught in a dangerous incident that pushes both the investigation and the overarching conspiracy into new territory.
The rest of the proceedings attempt to balance mystery, character growth, with comedic & heartfelt moments between Seiichiro and Aresh. While the investigation reveals new clues and hints at a larger threat working behind the scenes, the emotional focus shifts toward the growing bond between the two leads. Aresh continues to stand out with his caring yet slightly jealous personality, while Sigma and Ist also receive enjoyable moments that strengthen the group’s chemistry and add some welcome humor amidst the tension.
Overall, this episode does an excellent job of moving both the central mystery and the character relationships forward without sacrificing the series’ lighthearted charm. The mix of intrigue, comedy, and emotional development keeps the pacing engaging while setting up the finale with plenty of unanswered questions. More than anything, it leaves me curious about how Sei’s personal journey will conclude in the season finale.
