English Dub Review: The Klutzy Class Monitor and the Girl with the Short Skirt “Having Fun At The Beach With The Klutzes”

Overview:

Togo, Poem, and the others all enjoy a fun time at the beach. Nadeko tries to make Kogori see her as a woman.

Our Take:

There has to be a childhood friend romance in any rom-com, it seems. I can’t remember if we knew that Nadeko and Kogori were childhood friends or not, but it turns out they are. Kogori doesn’t see Nadeko like that, and Nadeko is determined to change that. Whether that means she has feelings for him or not remains to be seen, but she wants him to notice her umm… assets. She goes so far as to get dolled up like when we first met her. I don’t know how Kogori wasn’t able to recognize her like that, but it did lead to a revelation. He might not see her as a woman per se, but he does see her as an equal. Which is better, I guess?

As for the rest of the cast, we didn’t get much to move the needle in this episode. Poem and Sakuradaimon barely interacted in any meaningful way. But their siblings met up again and are planning on hanging out over summer break. Hopefully, we get some more romance between our leads in the coming episodes.
