English Dub Review: Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon “I Am a Field without Equal”

Overview

Field goes to parley with the Demon Lord, and plans for countering the Netherlord begin to take shape.

Our Take

Picking up from the previous episode, the story shifts focus to Field, a long-teased character whose history, relationships, and importance to the wider world are finally explored. Much like how Boxxo was reincarnated as an inanimate object, such as a Vending Machine. Field is literally a piece of land with powers of its own, along with a circle of unique friends. Through his perspective, we learn more about the Demon Realm, its political landscape, and the surprising connections he has formed over the years. Meanwhile, Boxxo and his companions continue their journey, uncovering new information about the growing conflict and setting the stage for a major confrontation.

The rest of the proceedings remained both fun and delivered a healthy dose of worldbuilding while expanding the cast in some entertaining ways. Field feels like the protagonist of an entirely different isekai series, complete with his own adventures, companions, and even a few humorous relationship dynamics. The introduction of new characters, the return of familiar faces, and the deeper look into the Demon Realm helped make the world feel much larger than before. It was also fun seeing how differently various characters reacted to Field, with several comedic moments stealing the spotlight.

Overall, this was another enjoyable episode that balanced lore, comedy, and character interactions well. While introducing a significant amount of new information so late in the season felt a little surprising, it added fresh energy and made the world feel more interconnected. With the story steadily building toward its finale, I’m looking forward to seeing how everything comes together and, hopefully, watching some long-awaited character meetings finally happen.
